FAQ

WHAT IS THE COLD MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL?

This is an annual event benefiting the ministries of both Lake Logan Conference Center and Camp Henry, both of which fall under the auspices of the Episcopal Diocese of WNC

WHEN WILL YOU ANNOUNCE THE LINE-UP?

Here it is!

WHERE IS LAKE LOGAN?

Lake Logan is located in Haywood County, North Carolina and is a stunning 260-acre property just 30 miles from Asheville. The centerpiece of the property is a mile-long lake surrounded by the Shining Rock Wilderness area of the Pisgah National Forest. Lake Logan is also the home of Camp Henry, a Christian summer camp and leadership program.

HOW CAN I BUY TICKETS?

Tickets are on sale online now.

ARE THERE LARGE GROUP RATES?

Yes! New this year, purchase 15 or more tickets at one time for the low rate of only $60 each. You’ll be able to do this on the ticket page with the code DioWNC.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR MEDIA CREDENTIALS?

Here you go.

CAN I COMMUNICATE WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD ONCE I GET TO LAKE LOGAN?

Nope. Lake Logan has no cell phone service and very limited access to the internet – which we have to save for our vendors. Please plan to have a wonderful UNPLUGGED weekend at Cold Mountain Music Festival. We promise it’s one of the best parts.

IS CAMPING PERMITTED?

Yes! You can purchase your camping site when you purchase your ticket. Sites go fast so get yours early!

IS HOUSING AVAILABLE?

Lake Logan has beautiful cabins, all of which include VIP access, free parking, breakfast Saturday and Sunday, and linens. A Festival ticket must be purchased separately. First choice of cabins goes to sponsors and previous cabin-holders and will be released in February. Contact Della to be placed on the cabin waiting list.

We also have hostel-style bunkhouse accommodations. Info is available here.

If you’d like information on housing off-site, please visit the Haywood County TDA.

IS THERE A SHUTTLE?

We do not have a shuttle specifically for Cold Mountain this year. However, we highly recommend you get in touch with Leap Frog Tours to schedule a shuttle for your group from Waynesville, Canton, or Asheville.

WILL THE FESTIVAL HAVE FOOD AND BEVERAGES?

Yes. We will host several delicious food trucks along with beer and wine vendors. Please, no outside food or beverages.  Exception: those who have purchased a camping site may bring food that stays in the camping area.

For those camping or staying in dorms, a pick-up Saturday breakfast and full Sunday breakfast are available at the dining hall. Reservations are required and can be made at the ticket website.

Saturday and Sunday breakfast is complimentary for those staying in cabins.

CAN I GET ONE OF THOSE AWESOME FESTIVAL T-SHIRTS?

Yes! T-shirts will be available at the Festival. Prices TBD.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please bring CASH (for parking, food, beverages, and merchandise); many vendors do not accept credit cards, and if the internet goes down – which it probably will – none of them will be able to. Feel free to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, flashlights, and sturdy shoes sufficient for outdoor terrain.

WHAT SHOULD I LEAVE AT HOME?

No coolers, no outside food or beverages (except water), no fireworks, no weapons, no outside boats or paddle boards. Exception: Those who have purchased a camping site may bring food. Please leave it in the camping area.

ARE KIDS PERMITTED?

YES! This is a family-friendly event and we encourage you to bring children. In fact, kids ages 12 and younger get in free! There will be plenty of family-friendly activities, and you’ll definitely want to stop by the Camp Henry booth at the festival.

HOW ABOUT PETS?

Yes, your well-behaved dog is welcome at Lake Logan. There is an additional fee of $10 (cash) per animal which will be collected at the gate. You are responsible for the behavior of and cleaning up after your pet. Animals must remain on-leash. We reserve the right to require you to remove your pet from the property.

ARE OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINKS ALLOWED?

No. Except water.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

Parking is $5 – CASH ONLY.

WHAT TIME DO GATES OPEN?

Gates open Friday at 1 pm and Saturday at 10 AM. The full schedule will be available closer to time.

HOW DO I GET A TICKET TO SATURDAY OR SUNDAY BREAKFAST?

Saturday and Sunday breakfast are included for guests who have rented a Lakeside, East Side, or Sit n Whittle cabin. If you are camping or staying in the dorms or Camp Henry cabins, we’ll have a link-up soon for reserving your breakfast.

HOW DO I GET AN INVITATION TO VIP AFTER PARTY?

Sponsors and guests who have reserved a Lakeside, East Side, or Sit n Whittle cabin are invited to the exclusive after-party. If you’d like to be a sponsor, contact Lauri.

CAN I BRING MY BOAT OR PADDLE BOARD?

No – but you can use ours!
