What is the cold mountain music festival?

This is an annual event benefiting the ministries of both Lake Logan and Camp Henry, both of which fall under the auspices of the Episcopal Diocese of WNC

where is lake logan?

Lake Logan Conference Center is located in Haywood County, North Carolina and is a stunning 260-acre property just 30 miles from Asheville. The centerpiece of the property is a mile-long lake surrounded by the Shining Rock Wilderness area of the Pisgah National Forest. Lake Logan is also the home of Camp Henry, a Christian summer camp and leadership program. 

how can i buy tickets?

Tickets will be available online before Thanksgiving.

is camping permitted?

Yes! You can purchase your camping site when you purchase your ticket. For more info, click here.  


All of our cabins are currently booked for the festival. We do still have  hostel-style bunkhouse accommodations. Info is available here.

will the festival have food & beverages?

Yes. We will host several delicious food trucks along with beer and wine vendors. Click here to see the food and beverage line-up. Please, no outside food or beverages.  Exception: those who have purchased a camping site may bring food that stays in the camping area.

For those camping or staying in dorms, a pick-up Saturday breakfast is available at the dining hall for $8 plus 7% tax. A full Sunday breakfast is available for $12 plus 7% tax ($6 for ages 5 to 12). Reservations are required. Check back later for the reservation link.

Saturday and Sunday breakfast are complimentary for those staying in cabins.

what should i bring?

Please bring CASH (for parking, food, beverages, and merchandise); many vendors do not accept credit cards. Feel free bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes sufficient for outdoor terrain. 

what should i leave at home?

No coolers, no outside food or beverages (except water), no fireworks, and no weapons. Exception: those who have purchased a camping site may bring food. Please leave it in the camping area.

are kids permitted?

YES! This is a family-friendly event and we encourage you to bring children. In fact, kids ages 12 and younger get in free! There will be plenty of family friendly activities, and you’ll definitely want to stop by the Camp Henry booth at the festival. 


Yes, your well-behaved dog is welcome at Lake Logan. There is an additional fee of $10 per animal which will be collected at the gate. You are responsible for the behavior of and cleaning up after your pet. Animals must remain on-leash. We reserve the right to require you remove your pet from the property.

Parking is $5 - CASH ONLY.

what time do gates open?

Gates open Friday at 1 pm and Saturday at Noon. Check back later for a full schedule.


Saturday and Sunday breakfast are included for guests who have rented a Lakeside, East Side, or Sit n Whittle cabin. If you are camping or staying in the dorms or Camp Henry cabins, we'll have a link up soon for reserving your breakfast.

Can we fish at the festival?

Yes! We ask that you abide by these policies:

  • A valid NC fishing license is required.

  • Lake Logan waters are catch and release only.

  • No live bait.

  • Single hook only.

  • A life vest must be worn at all times by occupants of a boat.

  • Do not cross orange boundary markers.

  • Fishing, boating, and swimming are done at your own risk.

  • No outside boats are allowed.
